Wonderful Trip to Mount Abu

Last year during Diwali vacation we went to Mount Abu which is in Rajasthan, India, with our 4 year old son. We took a package tour for 3 nights and four days.

Mount Abu is a very famous hill station well known for Dilwara temples. The entire temple is made of m arbles and the architectural beauty of the temple is worth watching. We also visited other temples like Adhardevi temple, Gaumakh temple etc.

In the evening we went around Nakki Lake which is the only artificial lake in India that is situated above sea level. The lake is surrounded by hills and rocks.

My son was very excited seeing the lake and we went for boating. He really enjoyed boating and insisted on taking a snap dressed in Rajasthani clothes that is available on hiring basis. The place around the lake is good for shopping local handicrafts and dress materials.

The next day we visited the wild life sanctuary and my son was very excited to see different species of birds and animals. This was his first visit to a zoo and he really enjoyed watching the animals moving around in the cages.

We also saw the popular points like the sunset point, honeymoon point and Guru Shikhar which is the highest point in Mount Abu.

On the whole I can say that Mount Abu is a lovely place and we enjoyed our trip very much. It was really great for our son too.
