Why Won't My 13 Month Old Stop Screaming?

by Amanda
(Punxsutawney, Pa, Usa)

My 13 month old son just finished teething 2 weeks ago, but has been screaming unconsolably at the top of his lungs all night and all day for 3 weeks. It's really getting to me.

Nothing comforts him. Why is he doing this?

Poor boy (and mom!)
by: Baby Help Line

Hi Amanda!

Do you have any idea why your boy might be crying so hard?

Can it be pain, hunger, have you just gone back to work, any other major changes in his life?

Being 13 months old, he might be able to somehow communicate the reason. Is he poking some part of his body (indicating pain)? Does he cry mainly when you are around (could be due to separation anxiety)?

It is very hard to give you a reason without meeting you and your boy!

If you have any more details to provide, please do!

And if you think your boy might be sick or in pain, write down all the symptoms you find and take him to a doctor.

I really wish you good luck!

/Paula
