Vomiting 13 Month Old

My 13 month old son is vomiting everything he eats or drinks. His diet consists of table food and whole milk. At first we thought he was developing a lactose intolerance so we tried Lactaid and he continued to throw up massive amounts. This isn't just spit up, he has no fever, but he also hasn't had a bowel movement since he started throwing up. What could be wrong and what can I do to help him??

Hi,

From what you describe your son could either be suffering from or stomach bug or as you suggest, some kind of intolerance or allergy. If think you should take him a doctor to discuss the situation and make sure it is not a bacteria.

You can also think back to when it started, to see if there is anything at all that you added to his diet then. If there is something new you can think of, take it out of his diet completely for a while and see if it helps. If for example he has a milk allergy you need to get rid of all dairy products, not transfer to lactose free varieties.

But I am guessing now, I really think you should take him to a Dr.
