Hi Sherry! This one was a little bit tricky, I have to admit! Why do you think your daughter turns red? Is she getting warm or is it the effort? Since her doctor is not concerned, I guess no one suspects allergy, at least... Maybe you could try to give her slightly cooler formula, or feed her less each time? If she is struggling with swallowing air, try keeping her ina bit more upright position and burp her often. You say you have checked the nipples, but maybe you could still experiment with one that runs a little bit faster or slower (or try both). Babies are individuals, and maybe your daughter is working either to get the formula out or swallowing the flow. Does any of this make sense? /Paula

Hi Sherry, My new grandson does the same thing. We think it's because the act of feeding is stimulating his bowels with causes him some discomfort, i.e. cramping etc. He also cries and draws his legs up while feeding. We've discovered just taking our time, interupting his feeding to put him up on our shoulders to burp with his legs tucked under his tummy helps relieve his distress. Takes a while to feed him but we know in time this will pass. Hope this helps. :)
