Sudden Baby Scream During a Bottle Feed

Hello,

My baby is 3.5 months old. She has been breast and bottle fed, although she is not a fan of the breast.

For the past 2 days I have been pumping and giving my baby the milk via a bottle which has seemed to be a much more pleasant experience for both of us. Today I was giving her the bottle when all of a sudden she just started screaming and kicking her legs. It was obvious she was in pain. I held her, took off her clothes, lay her down, did everything but she wouldn't stop.

Finally when she did stop it was for a few min and she started again....again the cry sounded like she was in pain.

I was able to give her some gripe water and continued to rock her. She eventually stopped but I wanted to know what might have caused her loud scream. She did finish eating so I know she doesn't have a sore throat or ear infection. She has been fine ever since and the next feeding was also fine.
