Still non-existent sex drive

My baby is 9 months old and I still have absolutely NO desire to have sex. I'm getting more sleep and nursing is down to 4-5 times a day, but I haven't gotten my period yet and my interest in sex is nill. Now I know it's hormones, but I feel so bad for my husband. :( I just wonder when it'll get better again. Hopefully soon!!!

Some more time and...
by: Paula

Hi there!

Well, since you still breastfeed and haven't got your period yet, the hormones obviously still affect you.

But even after that, the sex drive doesn't always come back automatically. Studies indicate that it quite often takes up to three years for new moms' libido to get back to normal. And then they get pregnant again...

So, pushing yourself just slightly might be a good idea... When being a new mom it can be hard to even think of oneself as a sexual being. It kind of just disappears with all the breastfeeding, diapering, cuddling with the baby etc.

Why not commit (secretly)to seduce your husband at least 1 time per month? Makes him happy and forces you to remember that you are a sexual person(or was and will be again, anyway...)

Just a thought, to help nature just a little bit... ;-)
