Some Good Some Bad

by jasmine

I was in pretty good shape before pregnancy and during pregnancy people always said I carried it well, so well that everyone including me expected a 7 pound baby tops.

Well what I got was a 10 pound baby boy which cause me to need 25 stitches (no exaggeration).

This is my first child. Its been a week and 2 days and I'm proud to say that yes my stomach is back to normal with a slight jiggle that can easily be taken care of once my 6 week recovery is up.

Since I breastfeed I've lost quite a bit of weight but I haven't been as hungry as I was during pregnancy.

I have virtually stopped bleeding but only some light colored discharge. THE bad part is the soreness of not only my stitches and vagina and my pelvic bones. uhg

Quick recovery!
by: Paula (Easy Baby Life)

Hi Jasmine,

Wow, one week and already your belly back to normal after giving birth. That must be some kind of record! I am happy for you. Breastfeeding and that your were in good shape probably helped a lot.

You also said that this is your first child. That could play a major part too. For me personally, my belly went back a lot faster the first time than the next. The baby wasn't bigger, but my belly muscles were not as firm as the first time, I guess. AND I was older.

Anyway, congratulations on your little baby. Since you seem to be a mom who enjoys exercising, have a look at these mom and baby exercises for some inspiration.

Warm wishes,

Paula
