Social Interaction For 6 Month Old
by Lizelle Smith
Hi, Baby Help Line: When To Let Baby Start Meeting Other BabiesI think now, a 6 months, is a perfect time to let your baby enjoy the company of other babies. At already around 4 or 5 months, babies usually start wanting and needing more stimulation than just being at home. Meeting other babies, or even just having an unbreakable mirror to play with is great fun. In a month or two, you baby might get into a more sensitive development stage, with both separation and stranger anxiety, so then he might be less happy with seeing new people. So get going! If you want some tips on what to do, check out our Baby Activities section. It will probably be fun for you too! At this age, I started baby swim classes with one of my kids, and musical classes with another. We also went to play groups. They loved it! And they slept really great afterwards, giving mom a little rest. :-) Hope this helps, Paula More On 6 Month Old BabiesReturn to Baby Development Q&A. comments powered by Disqus
