Snow White & The Two Dwarfs

I have two sets of twins, so Halloween was always a challenge for us. One year both of my identical (blond) girls wanted to be Snow White - we only had one costume. It was a great costume, one I picked up at a thrift store, that some other mother had laboriously made, and looked very realistic. So- while one was Snow White at school, the other was the wicked queen dressed as an old hag. This was a witch costume (black dress) with an old crocheted shawl, a stringy black hair wig, a blacked out tooth (they loved that, and helped compensate for NOT being Snow White) and even a basket of apples. After school, when it was time for trick-or-treating, costumes were changed so each girl had a chance at being the beloved Snow White. Their twin brothers, fraternal twins, were still stay-at-home toddlers. They were dressed as dwarfs, with green sweatshirts, brown corduroy pants, and dwarf hats and shoes (that slipped over the top of their real shoes) made of felt. They were an adorable troop that year.
