Our daughter at Sheraton Maui

Our baby was 13 months went we took her to Maui. We stayed at Sheraton, which turned out to be really good.

The Sheraton had a crib at no charge. The staff at the Buffet Breakfast gave us TOGO containers so we could load up on fruit, bread and yogurt. The room had a fridge and microwave. The baby pool area has a very shallow zone.

Strollers can go anywhere on and around the property...(I even brought my LARGE stroller and checked it at the gate at no charge from the airline.)

We walked up and down the coast everyday. The room was practically baby proof. Easy!

Maui is a great place to go with a baby. Some beaches are really baby-friendly. I loved it!

Here are two videos from Maui. The first talks about things you can do on Maui. The second will show you Sheraton!

We might be going to Maui with our baby!
by: Annie

Hi,

Thank you so much sharing! I've always wanted to go to Hawaii, but we live so far away. But now we are thinking about going despite our baby being only 14 months old. It seems like Sheraton Maui could be a good place to stay.

Which beach would you suggest going to? I read about "Baby Beach" in Lahaina - can a baby really bathe there? (With us, of course :-)

Also, if you have any tips at all on restaurants or other fun activities when you bring a young toddler a long, I would really appreciate it!

Thanks,

Annie

Comment By EasyBabyLife Annie, your baby can certainly have a splash in Baby Beach - or Puunoa Beach as it is also called. Two other good beaches on Maui for babies are Wailea Beach and Kapalua Bay Beach. Have a great vacation!

Maui with a baby
by: Paula (EasyBabyLife

Maui is a nice place to visit with a baby or child. There are several things to with young children here, in addition to the obvious bathing.

Maui Activity Tips With Babies

Maui Ocean Center is Hawaii's largest aquarium. They have a Turtle Lagoon and a Discovery Pool, where even young children can get close to starfish and sea urchins. There is also a long tank with a walkway, where both younger and older kids can enjoy being surrounded by water and ocean life. You can visit the Maui Ocean Center website here. (Opens in new window.)

Iao Valley State Park is a beautiful rainforest park, surrounding the rock Ioa Needle. The park has a walkway with both a shallow stream and a shallow lagoon, where even babies and toddlers can splash around (with your help and supervision of course.) You can find some pictures and driving directions for Ioa Valley State Park here. (Opens in new window)

Sugar Cane Train is a fun activity for the toddler or preschooler, but maybe not for a baby. It is very touristy, but I never heard of any kids who cared about that. The train stops at different stations and since it is quite similar to Thomas The Train, some kids will love it. You can visit the Sugar Cane Train website here. (Opens in new window.)

Wailea Beach - beach life is why we travel to Hawaii, isn't it?! Wailea beach is calm enough even for babies and toddlers. It has usually light waves and very gentle descent. It is beautiful and has showers and restrooms too. During December through April, it is a good place for whale watching. Here is a website with more information about Wailea Beach and other Hawaiian beaches too.

Nearby is the Grand Wailea Resort, where you can buy a day pass for your school-kid or teenager, to have fun in their activity pools and water slides.

Below are two video clips. The first is from Wailea Beach and the second from the water slides at Grand Wailea Resort. Enjoy!

Have a great trips and please bookmark and come back to share your experiences!
