Rude Photographer!

by Kay
(Prairie Village, KS USA)

When our first son was born, he was a month early, (but still weighed just under 7 pounds), and spent almost a week in baby ICU.

When we brought him home, he gained weight quickly, probably to my overfeeding him - as a first time mother, and with his being early - I was a worrier and fed him constantly!

When he was 2 months old, I took him to a local store for "good" baby pictures.

Obviously, he couldn't sit up by himself, but the photographer kept trying to sit him up.

I told him he couldn't sit by himself yet, and the photographer looked at me and said, "Why, is there something wrong with him?"

When I told him he was only 2 months old, he looked shocked and told me he had never seen a young baby that fat!

Granted, he was in the 90th percentile for height and weight, but he wasn't that bad!!

He took the pictures with our son propped up on a pillow and they were awful - his head hung down and really emphasized his double chin!

Had I been older than 23, I would have picked him up and left - and reported him to the management.

Needless to say, all other professional pictures were taken by companies that specialized in babies. And, I'm happy to report he is now 6'4" and weighs 195, so I didn't cause a permanent weight problem!
