What should I do if my baby has a rash?

What type of rash is it? If the rash is on your baby's skin, does it seem to bother him? If so, it could be the detergent you're using. If not, it may be a virus. My son had a rash on his shoulders and it turned out to be a virus that just went away.

If the rash is in the diaper area, it could be something else. Have you tried over-the counter-creams? If over the counter creams only make it worse, see the doctor. This is what happened with my son and it turned out to be a yeast infection, he needed an antifungal cream to get rid of it which was only available with a prescription. Good luck!
