Not looking forward to it

It has been a month since I gave birth. The vaginal pain has subsided and I am getting used to breastfeeding.

The doctor informed us that we can start having sex in 6 weeks.

I really hope to stretch it to 8 weeks. I am scared of the feeling.

It's funny at first I was scared of the delivery but now that it is over and done with this is my new fear. I almost feel like a virgin wondering how everything will feel again.

Take your time

Hi New Mom!

Thanks for sharing! I really feel for you and completely understand your worries. Giving birth is such a huge (and painful) thing and it is not strange at all that you wonder if sex will ever be the same. (Well, it will, sort of... but with the risk of always being disturbed by a little person, who also makes sure that you will be exhausted for the next year or so... ;-) )

Take your time!

Talk to your husband and when the time comes, go slooowly.

Good luck and congratulations to your baby!
