My Baby Boy's Eyeball Turned Up

My baby boy is now 10 months old.

His eyeball seemed to have some problem when he was around 7 months plus. His eyeball will look very normal whenever he just waken up from his sleep but after about 1 and a half hour, his eyeball will start to turn up without returning back to normal. Few hours later, he goes to sleep. When he wake up, his eyeball become normal again and after about 1 and a half hour, his eyeball turn up again. This matter keeps repeating the same everyday till now.

Can someone out there please give me some opinions as what make him to become like that?

Baby's eyeball

Hi,

It may be your baby has a lazy eye. That is when the muscles have not strengthened enough to control the eye movement. However, I would get it checked out with your doctor or optician. Lazy eye is usually treated by putting a patch over the good eye for much of the time, to force the other eye to work hard. But you need to get it properly diagnosed first.

Babies when they are little have wandering eyes, but usually by now, you would expect your baby to be able to control his eye movements, so the best thing would be to get it checked.

Enjoy your little boy,
