Mom's Helper

I was in the kitchen fixing lunch or dinner who remembers. At that point in my life it seems I was always in the kitchen. I was nearly time to fix a bottle for my youngest son who was about three months old. So I asked my three year old daughter to go to the back bedroom to check to see if he was awake. I was expecting her to yell back to me "YES" or "NO". I continued with my chores needing to get something out of the fridge.

When I closed the door there stood my daughter with her little brother in her arms. I was so startled that it scared my daughter and she began to cry. However my three month old could not have been happier.

Today I still do not know how she was able to get him out of his bassinet without tipping it over. My daughter has always looked after both her brothers ever since. When they go to their grand parents house to visit she is the one who packs all their clothes and makes sure that everything and everyone comes home safely.
