Miracle Baby

When I was 35 I really started to get worried that I would never have a baby so I doggedly persued fertilty until it amost ended my life.
I had a mishap during on diagnostic laproscopy that caused me to have 2 feet of bowel removed and 3 months for my stomach to heal shut. After I healed I went back to my surgeon and honestly asked if he thought I would conceive the answer was "no" he could not see my reproductive organs during surgery.
The reproductive endocrinologist said I was a waste of insurance resources.
I went home and mourned with my husband what could not be, and after a few weeks I finally started to accept it and move on.
A few weeks before Thanksgiving I was about 3 days late with my period and I kept on thinking this one is going to be a bad one my cramps were already starting, I was out shopping on my lunch break and it was almost like I was led to the pharmacy aisle and all of a sudden I was buying a 2 pack pregnancy test.
I went back to work and immediately did one test, someone kept on trying to come in the bathroom before the time was up so I got frustrated and thew it away before seeing the result, I kept on thinking it was going to be negative anyway. So the next morning I woke and immediately did the last one in the pack and then went out to get ready for work. I went back in the bathroom about 5 minutes later and it showed to lines, I just stood and looked at it for a couple of minutes. Then I decided the test was defective and I threw it in a bag and took it to work (I work at a clinic). I was waiting by the door for my nurse I said you got see this, I have a defective pregnancy test.
She looked at the test and said lets do another one, 10 minutes later she called.
_ "That one is positive too."
Later that morning she called and said Dr. wants to see you. I went up she said lets do one more sure enough that one was positive to.
That was one the best day's in my life second only to the day I gave birth!
Although my pregnancy was full of tough times, loss of heartbeat a couple of times, pre-term labor, 2 months of bedrest, 1 month of hospital bedrest and the 5 week early birth of my beautiful 4 pound baby girl, I would do it all over again in the exact same way.
My pregnancy was a miracle that touched so many people.
