Me and my Dino

When my son was a year and a half he desperately wanted to be a dinosaur for Halloween. So like the doting mother that I am I ordered him an adorable one-piece jumpsuit that looked like a plush dinosaur, attached headpiece and all. When it arrived he hugged it and squealed with glee. I thought to myself, that Halloween night would be so hectic I should let him try it on now so I can take some pictures.

My son happily put on the dino suit and immediately began to scream and cry. For whatever reason being in it terrified him! Once we took it off he began to hug and talk to the costume again. I was totally confused, but it was clear he could not wear this outfit to go trick or treating.

On the night of Halloween I still was not sure what to do, when my son walked up to me with his pumpkin pail and dino suit in hand and said, "Trick treat now Mama?" So unorthodox though it was, out we went with the dinosaur suit in hand. Oh what an adorable sight my little boy made walking around the neighborhood yelling "Trick Treat!" and dragging his dinosaur costume like Linus with his blanket. At every house when the person that answered the door would drop a treat in his pail he would say "For me?" and then look at them, hold up the dinosaur and smile and say "Dino too please!" He made out like a bandit!
