Later To Bed And Thicker Ceral

by Jesse
(US)

Our 7 month old hasn't been sleeping through the night til the other day. I helped out my wife with feeding him while she went out... I fed him a little later than she she normally does and I made the cereal a little thicker than normally... He slept the entire night when he generally gets up 2-3 times for a bottle.

Great idea... :)

What a good father you are ~ congrats! I will keep that in mind for when my son reaches that age (he is now 8 weeks old).
What would I do if I only breastfeed?

A tip to stop night feedings
by: Paula (Baby Help Line)

Hi BelgianQueen,

When your baby reaches some 8-9-10 months or so, it can be quite easy to get rid of the nightfeedings even with a breastfed baby, at least if you are a couple living together. You simply switch over to let dad handle the night wakings by cuddling, rocking or offering the pacifer. If mom's nipple isn't available, chances are great that an old enough baby simply stops waking up.

You can read more about this method here in the second comment.

Warm wishes,

Paula
