Hits Face With Hand... Teething?

Hi, my 6 month old baby has started to hit her right jaw line several times a day. She flinches so she knows it will hurt a bit.

I'm pretty sure she is teething... could the hitting be to release pain?

Hi Marie,

I agree; Teething may very well be the reason for the hitting. Just like one might suspect ear infections in babies that keep touching their ears.

But is could also be a sore throat or just the sensation involved. Once you see the white little teeth I guess you'll know.
