5 Easy Steps And... Go!

Want to get started scrapbooking, but need a little push?

Well, you're not alone! There's so much material out there on scrapbooking and it can look so advanced that a beginner just can't get started! I know, because it took me almost a year; I was so intimidated by all the things I thought I needed to buy and (even more learn) to be able to create something nice.

So how to get started with scrapbooking then? Well, follow these simply tips and you're on your way!

Find inspiration

I think a great way to get started is to watch a few videos or already made scrapbooks to get your own inspiration flowing.

You don't have to buy a DVD or book the first thing you do, since there are some free scrapbooking video clips out there to watch.

Gather your stuff

Well, you can't create a scrap book with material... So start gathering photos as well as other material that you might find useful.

Stuff to buy

Well, you won't be able to start with a zero budget... You do need paper, adhesive, something to cut papers and photos with (a cutter or a pair of scissors), an album and pens.

2 or 3 colors of acid-free papers will do, don't overdo it.

A place to be

You don't need to decorate a specific room or buy an expensive scrapbooking table, but you do need a special place to be. Trying to use the floor or kitchen table is a sure way to abandon the project. Just too much of a hassle!
