Flying With A Newborn? Don't Forget Wipes.

by Maber
(tampa, fl)

I'll never forget the first time I flew with my son. We were going to meet my husband who had just come back from his first tour overseas. I think that I must have packed everything......EVERYTHING BUT BABY WIPES. In the middle of the flight, my baby decided that would be the best time to have the most explosive poop you've seen. Quickly we rushed to the bathroom only to discover that I had forgot to pack baby wipes. I had no idea what I was going to do and toilet paper was just not an option for this much poop. I was so embarrassed but the flight attendant was very understanding. She brought me some wet towels that I could use to clean him up. She even took his diaper and threw it away. It was so smelly they should have disposed of it in the biohazard bin. I never really got a chance to catch her name or give her the proper thank you so I hope that maybe she (flight attendant on southwest) will read this and know that the army wife with a very stinky little baby boy is very thankful for your help. You will never know how much it meant to me.

So the moral of the story is that if you fly with a newborn, don't forget wipes :)
