Liquid...
by: Baby Help Line

Hi,

When being sick most babies don't have much appetite. Getting enough liquid is the most important, so offer something to drink often, even at night if he asks for it.

Other than that, give your boy whatever foods he is at all interested in eating. It is only for a short period of time, so if he wants only rice for example, let him have it. He needs the energy.

At least that's what I usually do to keep a young little sick darling going.

Good luck!

Paula

Water or fruits
by: Paula (Baby Help Line)

Hi,

Can you try to offer your baby water? Or just spoon feed him with milk? Another option is to blend in more milk into his purees. The important thing is not that he drinks, but that he gets enough liquid. Watch for signs of dehydration (such as not peeing, dark urine, very tired) and if you see any if these signs, contact his doctor immediately. But if he does eat, there is a good chance that he will get enough liquid, since baby food for such young babies contain a lot of liquid. Just keep trying and be a bit creative with how you mix his foods with more liquid.

Good luck,

Paula
