Feeding My 6mo. Old - New Mommy

My baby's doctor just started him on solids. I was told by the doctor to start him on cereal (rice) then introduce him to a new food every 7 days. I'm confused on an eating schedule. I know he's eating solids now but where do I fit in his formula?

I need an eating schedule for him. For example Breakfast- Formula, Lunch-Formula or Cereal, Afternoon Snack- Formula or Cereal, Dinner- Formula.

I'm a new mommy so I'm clueless when it comes to this. Can you help me?

Here's a baby feeding shedule!

Hi new mommy!

Not strange at all that you are a bit confused! In general it depends on how much solid foods your baby eats if you should reduce the amount of formula you are offering him. As long as he only eats a couple of tea spoons or so, he probably needs more or less the same amount of formula as earlier.

In the link below you'll find a feeding schedule for babies at around 6-8 months old. This one has worked well with my children and for many others too.

Try it out and make the adjustments you feel are needed to keep your baby happy and your life convenient.

Here is the feeding schedule!

Hope this reduced your confusion a bit!
