Difficulty Peeing

My 5 weeks daughter always cries while pooping. Recently she has started this while peeing too? I have hardly made any changes in my diet. I am really concerned as this makes her cranky. Usually she is quiet and doesn't cry a lot.

 Shouldn't hurt

Hi!

Crying when pooping is quite normal at her age, but peeing shouldn't hurt. Have you had her checked for a urinary tract infection? Maybe you should at least talk to a doctor about it.

Another possibility could be if she has a diaper rash; then peeing could of course hurt the already sore skin.

Check the color and smell of her urine (should be pale and not smelly)and bring the situation up with her doctor.
