Daddys First Diaper Change

While still in the hospital after the birth of our first son, my husband and I could barely stay awake. It had been a long night with labor lasting most of the night and finally that morning our son arrived.

Being exhausted from the birth, we both decided to "crash" while the nurses were taking care of our son. A couple hours after the delivery, the finally brought him to our room.

We were so excited that we couldn't leave him alone, even though he was sleeping. When it came time to change his diaper, we were arguing (playfully) about who was going to get to change the first diaper. I was so exhausted that I gave in and let my husband do it.

So, he lays our son at the foot of my bed, while I am laying down, and proceeds the diaper changing process. He removes the soiled diaper and OH NO, he forgot to have another one ready. Just as he was getting the diaper under my son's bottom, my son decided he needed to pee. It went all over my husbands face.

I have never laughed so hard in my life. Needless to say, my husband didn't argue with me anymore over who was going to change the diapers.
