Continuesly Peeing In Bed At Night

Can anyone please help me, my baby of 3 years old pees in the bed every night, sometimes she pees 2 times a night in bed, and I do take her to the ladies before she went to bed.

Is there something wrong with her, and how can I stop this?

Please Advise

Many Thanks

MOM

Normal for three year old to pee in bed
by: Paula (Baby Help Line)

Hi mom,

You can stop worrying immediately - your daughter is completely normal!. The timing of when children stop peeing while asleep is highly individual. Most children probably stop at some point between 3 and 6 years of age. Boys usually later than girls, but between my kids, our daughter was actually the latest with this. If they are older than 7 years, the issue might be adressed with their health nurse.

So put diapers on your daughter and don't make any fuss about it to her. If she wants, it is great to start peeing before going to bed to extend the sleep time without peeing. But it is really a body maturing thing that you can't do much about.

BBC has quite a good overview of bed-wetting, which I am sure will put your mind at ease if you need more information to be convinced.

Hope this helps,

Paula
