Hi my Baby is 13 months and eats very well..

Per day She's gets 600-ml nanny care goats formula, 3-4 small wee pieces of fruit, between 7 to 10 veg a day,+ lentils or kidney beans or regular beans .. everything is whole-meal, rice, pasta, bread ect

Pure orange juice (not from concentrate) during the day in her water drinks.

She only gets a little meat, fish and chicken.

90 to 95% of everything she gets is organic..

This past 10 days her stools have got like small pellets and she was in a little pain a few times when she passed.

She is she moving bowls every day but not as much and there harder...

any ideas???

Baby Help Line Response:

Hi Paul!

Lucky daughter of yours who gets such great food!

Regarding her mild constipation or rather hard stools, have you changed her diet all during the past two weeks? This is one of the most common reasons why babies become more or less constipated. If you have, try reducing the new type of foods a bit.

You can also make sure you offer her plenty of water to drink and some apple juice or prune juice and lots of fruits that are good to prevent constipation, such as kiwi, pear, apricots and prunes. Stay away from bananas, carrots and reduce the intake of dairy products until her stomach is back to normal.

Also remember, if she doesn't seem to be uncomfortable, her hard stools probably is not a big issue.

(Adorable girl!!)

Hope this helps,

/Paula
