Me with my brood

Me with my brood

Hi,

I'm Christine and Mum to five children - two boys and three girls - ranging in age from 15 years all the way down to 18 months! With such a mixed brood I've dealt with a wide spectrum of baby problems and have plenty of tips and advice to share.

My particular field of expertise is in introducing solid foods and making baby food at home. I'm the owner and editor of www.homemade-baby-food-recipes.com, a leading baby food website with hundreds of recipes and advice for dealing with all sorts of feeding problems. I'm a firm believer in the fact that baby food does not have to be boring and this is reflected in my recipes, which range from simple purees to exotic curries and more!

I'd love you to leave me any comments or ask me questions about what I do, but your baby questions need to asked in the Easy Baby Life Community.

4.5 month old poos more than once a day
by: Korina

Hi Christine,
You have a very beautiful family! I also read some of your responses to other questions relating to baby poo problems and found it very helpful. I plan to start mixing my baby's food with prune puree and also try some of the foods you recommended. I just have a few more concerns. I had to switch his formula to soy formula for sensitive tummiss (which helped with his fussiness), then I started him on oatmeal cereal and bananas. He is having hard, painful poos, but I've noticed that they are becoming less painful but still hard. Today he has pooed twice, the first was just one stool ball, the second was about 5 round stools that varied in size. The color and texture is consistent though. He eats fine, sleeps fine(sleeps through the night now), everything is good.. is this normal? and would you still recommend that I try the prune puree?
p.s. I am a first time mom of 22, well no one told me(and i also did a lot of reading before the lil man was born) that he should be getting just water in his bottles in between formula feedings!? Should I start now? and how often or how soon after his formula feeding? Thank you so much for your time. Happy Holidays to you and your family!
