Butternut Squash

This recipe is for any baby 6 months old or older. The recipe will make 1 serving for each slice of squash, but multiple slices may be prepared at once.

1 Butternut squash
1 cup of water
1 Tablespoon butter or margerine
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar

Wash squash well. Slice end off the neck of squash and discard. Then slice a 2 inch thick piece of the neck and place in the water in a saucepan. Cover pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until squash is fork tender.
Remove squash, place in small bowl and mash well. Add butter and brown sugar.
