Baby Urinating Symptoms
by Arunima
I am a 35 years old and had a ceasere baby on 19th Nov'07. I had high thyroid and taking regular medicin. Now my one month old girl baby cries while urinating. Is it a matter of concern?...Please help Baby Help Line Response: Hi Arunima! Congratulations to your little daughter! Since I'm not a doctor - just a very dedicated mom - I can't advice you on whether your medication may have some adverse effects on your baby. However, since your girl seems to be in pain when urinating, I think you should contact a doctor. For example, she could have a urinary tract infection. Is her urine unclear? Does it smell bad? Both these are common symptoms of urinary tract infection. However, young babies can have an infection also without these common symptoms. Also make sure you don't use soap when washing your baby's vulva; just use warm water. Soap can be very painful if it enters the vagina. You can also check that she is not very red and thus suffers from a diaper rash. I think you should call a doctor, to rule out any problems that could require medication.
