Hi Jacqueline, Congratulations to your little son! Is he breastfed or formula fed? If he is breastfeed, you most likely don't have to worry. It is normal for newborn babies to strain a lot. Their intestines are immature and they need some time to adapt to working. Something you can try is <a href="http://www.easybabylife.com/baby-massage.html">baby massage.</a> Get your self a book or DVD and try particularly tummy massage. It can be very effective! If your baby is formula fed, chances are that he is constipated.
