Baby Not Rolling Over

My 7 Month Son

My baby is 7 1/2 months old but still now he is not completely rolling on his tummy, he only roll half side but not on his tummy to back. What should I do? Please suggest me.

Stop worrying

Hi Shaheen,

Above all, stop worrying! Not all babies roll over at that age; my youngest didn't for example.

Your son might be practising sitting up, grabbing things, or learning to understand words, although you can't notice that yet.

It is very easy to focus too much on milestones during the first year, but really one month early or late means absolutely nothing in the long run!

What you can do is to encourage your son by playing with him. Hold interesting things for him to grab by reaching out to the side, place an unbreakable mirror so that he has to roll to his side to reach it and so on.

But dont' worry, he'll roll when he is ready for it. And he'll be running arong the house before you know it!
