Baby Never Stops Moving!!

by Kym
(Swedesboro, NJ, USA)

If my baby is moving so much inside me, is there something I can do to settle him down? Or should I just let him go? He moves ALL THE TIME!! I get worried that something is wrong or I'm not doing something right? I am 7 months now.

Please help! =)

Baby Help Line Response:

Hi Kym!

Actually, that your baby moves is a sign that everything is great. I know it can be tough – our daughter woke me up at night kicking from week 23 an on! She’s still a wild kid…

But basically a moving baby is a healthy baby, so don’t worry. (And of course, ask at your next health check up if you’re still worried.)

Also, if it is very uncomfortable it might be nice for you to know that within a month or so, your baby will have grown so big that it will start to become harder for him to move around quite as much…

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

Get used to it :)

Hello,

When I was pregnant with my son (who is 3 1/2 months old now) I felt the same way and was given the same advice. My additional advice to you would be to enjoy every precious second of feeling that baby inside of you...it is a rare gift and if you are like me, you will miss it terribly once you are no longer pregnant.

If your baby is like my son, the movement will not stop at birth. My little guy sits in his bouncy seat and his little arms and legs just go and go and go...he never tires of wiggling around! Now I'm just trying to prepare my self for when he's walking:0)
