Baby Has A Fever

My sister's son is 5 months old and has been sick for the past 5 days. He didn't really drink any milk and have a fever.

He has been sleep all day and when he is up one minute he's smiling then the next he crying and it's back to sleep for him. He lose weight fast and he have Diarrhea.

What can I do for him?

Sounds like he may have a virus. You need to take him to the pediatrician to be checked out. Since he has diarrhea and a fever, he can dehydrate really quickly. Watch for signs of dehydration which occur when a child loses too much fluid and becomes dried out. Symptoms of dehydration include a decrease in urination, no wet diaper for more than 6-8 hours, no tears when baby cries, high fever, dry mouth, weight loss, extreme thirst, listlessness, and sunken eyes. Hope he feels better soon. LIZ
