Baby Friendly Zoo Trip

NC Zoo Lion Cub
When my daughter was about 18 months old my wife and I packed her up and drove to the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, NC.
Admission for her was free and the staff was very friendly. They loved my daughter saying she was so cute.
We just used the stroller and pushed her around the zoo. The zoo is a great place to take a baby because the animals will always capture their attention.
Other places we have taken my daughter have not intrigued her enough. She would get bored quickly, but at the zoo she was so excited to see all the animals up close.
Make sure to go in the spring or fall when it is not too hot or too cold. If you go to the zoo in the summer time a lot of the animals will be hiding in the trees to keep cool. If you go in the winter it is just too cold for baby. Bring sunscreen and lots of snacks.
We plan on going back this fall when my daughter turns three.
