Baby Diarrhea Or What

My 3 month old normally poops 1 time daily, maximum 2. Today she pooped 4 times, however, the stools seem fine, but smaller quantity than normal. Does that mean my baby has diarrhea? If yes what can i do?

No need to worry too much

Hi Odette!

If the poop is normal I wouldn't call it diarrhea, but something is obviously up. Have you made any changes at all to her diet? Or is there any chance that she could be teething? Some babies are drooling so much when they are teething that the salivia actually affects their pooping pattern.

If everything else is as usual and your daughter doesn't seem ill at all, just wait and see what happens. Babies can get new bowel movement habits without anything being wrong.

regarding poo
