Baby Diaper Celebration

This is my best memory about changing a baby diaper with our first child. I laughed at it then and even now, I hold it in my heart as a true testament of how much being a parent changes you - all for the better!


On the morning when she was three days old, my husband dutifully followed me to the changing table before leaving for work. We were chatting pleasantly as I began changing her diaper.


I was completely startled when my 6' 1", 275 pound husband snatched up the dirty diaper and started jumping up and down chanting "It's a breastmilk poop, a breastmilk poop!"


Sure enough, there it was - a seedy yellow mess.


To this day, I've never seen anyone so excited about the contents of a baby's diaper. I'll never forget the sight of him gleefully jumping, holding that messy diaper in his hands.
