Easy Baby Life baby care

A Better Me

by Claire
(Baton Rouge, Louisiana)

I'd like to give my kids a better me. My strategy for doing this is to take some time out for myself every once in a while so that I can be a more relaxed and rested mom.

In doing this, I think the time I spend with my kids will be better spent.

No more multi-tasking while interacting with the kids.

When I do designate time to spend with my kids, I usually find myself also sneaking in a little cooking, phone calls, bill paying, laundry folding, and many other countless chores that moms are faced with, at the same time.

I later feel very guilty that I did not give my children the time they deserved and my "undivided attention".

Therefore, I vow to divide my tasks into seperate events, giving my kids periods of having all of mommy's attention, and taking time out here and there for myself so I can be successful as the "best mom I can be".

No more multi-tasking... You got me there! I often "play" with my daughter while cleaning her room at the same time. Fun much fun am I then!?

I'll stop doing that too!
