8 Months Old And Still Puking

my little 8 month terror

My son is now 8 months old and is still puking all the time. I have changed milks and even up him on soy milk to see if he is has any allergy's against milk but no change there. The funny thing is that he does not puke his solid food just his milk or liquids. Does any one know any thing I can do to stop it?

What a little cutie!

I am not sure how much your little boy is throwing up, he looks like he is well fed! Sometimes a small amount when the tummy is over-full looks like a lot. If you test this with a teaspoon of milk and spill it on the bench you will be surprised how much it looks.

I don't know if you have had your baby tested for allergies, but sometimes babies also have reactions to soymilk, there are specialized formulas around for children with severe allergies.

He looks pretty happy! Babies that have severe allergies, tend to be uncomfortable and bloated, maybe lots of headaches, so are grizzly, unhappy babies. If your little boy is eating well, and playing and gaining weight, it may be that his little tummy just hasn't grown out of the reflux stage yet, although normally he would have by now. If he is keeping down solids, just try separating when he has milk, so it is not on top of solids, and give him a bit less, but maybe more often. Liquids take up a lot of space in the tummy and if he is having just a bit too much, then he will puke up a bit. He must be keeping most of it down as he looks pretty healthy to me! Of course I am not seeing him all the time, but do the usual checks with the health nurse or your doctor and if he is gaining weight normally and seems comfortable and happy then I would not worry about it.
