6 Months Pregnant - Baby Not Kicking

I'm 6 months pregnant and my baby normally moves and kicks all day. Especially around late afternoon. But I haven't felt him move at all 2 day. Is this normal?

Easy Baby Life:

Baby Not Kicking - Normal Or Not?

Being 6 months pregnant, your baby is likely to be quite active. I don't know which week you are in, but most moms do feel their baby every day during this part of pregnancy.

Since you haven't felt any movement for 2 days, I think you should contact your doctor or midwife immediately to check the heart beat or do an ultra sound. Most likely your baby is just fine, but don't take any chances!

And while waiting to see your doctor, try poking your stomach to see if you get any reaction.
You can also drink some cold water or even just lay dow to rest. Many babies wake up and start kicking when their "bed" i.e. your uterus becomes still.

I really wish you good luck,

Paula

Drink Orange Juice and Lie on Left Side
by: Anonymous

I experienced the same thing and called my doctor. I was instructed to drink a glass of orange juice (because of the high sugar content) and to lie down on my left side for 30 minutes to see if I felt my baby move. If he didn't move after 30 minutes I was to take myself directly to labor and delivery at the hospital. Fortunately, the orange juice and resting worked for me, but definitely call your doctor or midwife to be safe.
