15 Month Son Very Sick Not Urinating, Flem, Runny Nose

My son is very sick. He's had flem for about 1 week.... now the flem is worse he chokes on it. It's keeping him from sleeping off and on fevers, coughing, runny nose, does not want to eat or drink is not urinating gone all night and most of the day..

Please help the DR's are just saying use a humidifier which I have for 1 week already and seems the flem and the cough have gotten worse...

Hi Melissa,

This time of the year there are so many bad viruses around! Even though antibiotics don't help, babies may still need more assistance than a humidifier!

Take your son back to the doctor or to another one! Especially if he doesn't want to eat and drink, he needs to be reexamined.

Also remember to offer him liquid often (even just taking a teaspoon is better than nothing) and make sure you elevate the head end of his bed to help his breating.

You can also use saline drops or breast milk in is nose to help him breathe.
